New beginnings!  The first day of spring is almost here.  It’s time to open up the windows, get some fresh air moving around the house, and make sure the lawn mower is ready for another season of work.  Each year as winter ends, it’s exciting to look forward to the spring and all the fun it entails.  It’s like a breath of fresh air.  It’s new.
Such is the case with our 8th grade students who are, as I type, visiting and experiencing the high school facilities and staff in preparation for their entry into high school next year.  When they arrived in the morning they were attentive, and excited at what may lie ahead.  Some of them have or have had older siblings in the building.  They’ve been to activities here at the high school.  But, they have never experienced the school as they would this day.  It’s new.  It’s exciting.  It’s opening the minds of students to what lies ahead in their educational future.  The experience is most definitely a breath of fresh air!
I want to thank the Creek Valley family for all their support through the season of winter academics and activities.  There are many exciting experiences that lie ahead for all of you as the weather gets warmer.  Feel free to stop by and take part.
