FAFSA Reminder
The 2010-2011 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available on January 1st. Students and their families are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1st so that they meet not only the federal deadline for student aid, but also state and institutional deadlines.
The FAFSA determines your student’s eligibility for most federal and state grant awards, work-study programs, institutional aid, and low-cost federal student loans.
The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Completing the FAFSA online helps eliminate errors and offers a quicker turn-around time for results. If students do not have computer access, they can request a paper FAFSA by calling 1-800-433-3243.
Many of the post secondary institutions use this as a means for scholarship awards as well as for financial assistance.  The FAFSA needs to be filled out as soon as you get back your 2009 income tax return.  For further information please contact Mrs. Ford, CVS Guidance Counselor at 308-874-3310.
