Terra Nova Quartile Percentages: 

Analysis of Data:

• 31.8% of Creek Valley fourth graders are scoring within the first or second quartile in Language arts, and 31.9% are scoring within the second quartile in Reading.
• 90.9% of fourth graders and 75.1% of third graders are scoring in the third or fourth quartile in math.

Interpretation of Data:

• It appears as though math is a relative strength in the upper elementary.  In 2005, the Saxon Math Program was introduced at the elementary level as a intervention to improve math skills.  This may be a factor in these higher scores.
• Language arts and reading are relative weaknesses for upper elementary students on the Terra Nova.
