Creek Valley Schools:  Disaggregated Data for S.T.A.R.S. RWSL Assessments

Year Tested:  2005-5006

Analysis of Data:  No groups scored below the Proficient Level.  In addition, the majority of students performed at the advanced level.

Interpretation of Data No indication of concern at this time.

Conclusions based on S.T.A.R.S. Standards:

*  A significant percentage (28%) of students receiving special education services in the class of 2009 did not score proficiently or above on the RWSL 8.1.1.  Similarly, 25% of the class of 2008 special education students did not score at or above the proficient level on RWSL 12.1.1.  A higher percentage of male students did not score at or above the proficient level in comparison to the females in both circumstances. The correlation between males and special education is direct in both grade levels.  This suggests a need for intervention with male students receiving special education services.

*  Due to a very low percentage of minority students, very little correlation can be with minority populations in relationship to any content area.

*  In some grade levels, (Graduating classes of 2008 and 2009) a slight correlation can be made to achievement and socio-economic status.  However, at some grade levels (Graduating classes of 2014 and 2015), a higher percentage of students receiving free and/or reduced lunches scored at the advanced level in comparison to the general population.  This suggests that no immediate intervention for students in low-socioeconomic situations is necessary.
