conversational exchanges are presented early in the first semester.
Dialogues and narratives from several text sources provide students with
a broad exposure to vocabulary and expressions. Translation from
English to the target language is treated as a valuable skill and a
learning device. Object pronoun placement is presented, and all major
verb tenses are presented during the course of the year. Speaking
ability is reinforced though oral drills and response to readings. |
