5th Grade Course Description:The fifth grade science course is designed to introduce and build science knowledge in the areas of life science, physical science, earth science, and the human body. Students will use reading skills, written language skills, and problem solving skills to complete course work. The scientific method will be introduced and used throughout the year as we work through lab activities. Performance will be measured through information gathered on daily assignments, chapter and unit tests, online assessments and performance based activities.

The scientific method will continue to be utilized to build experience with science inquiry. Performance levels will be assessed through daily work, chapter and unit tests, online assessments and performance based activities.
