Fifth Grade Course Description: This course is designed to introduce, reinforce and build mastery in 5th grade math concepts. The concepts covered in this curriculum include computation, application, problem solving and critical thinking. The concepts are reinforced through large and small group activities, use of manipulatives, and independent student work. Technology is utilized in this course by using calculators and computers for research and applications. Performance is assessed in a written test format after every five new lessons. Also, NCLB online assessments will be addressed.
