In Mr. Sherman English I
class the new students (freshmen) get the more or less vew of what the
exiting life of a high school student is like and they learn all kinds
of fun and exciting things in this wonderful class.
Now you curious mothers and fathers out there get to see a description
from the wonderful teacher Mr. Sherman. This is a two-semester
course in which word skills are studied. These skills include spelling,
correct use of homophones, acronyms, and expansion of vocabulary.
Grammar skills studied include word usage, verb and pronoun usage, parts
of speech, complements, phrases, and clauses. An overview of world
literature is presented. The Shakespeare studied is Romeo and
Juliet, and the Odyssey is studied with a review
of Roman and Greek mythology. Writing includes the paragraph, short
essay, and analysis of literature. |
